Here's an idea:
An idea I really, really like. Oh and please add term limits to this equation. The end.
world-shaker:
Merit Pay.
For elected members of Congress.
Oh, you didn’t pass legislation to raise the debt ceiling and the country defaulted and lost its AAA credit rating? You get to live without healthcare like tens of millions of Americans. Oh, and no paycheck for you until you actually do your job.

The Best Thing You Can Do
Don’t buy a ticket.
Oh how I wish EVERYONE could (and would) do just that.
Free Lolita. Stop using whales for entertainment. Stop the cycle of greed.
The end.

You know what’s great? That the best way to help Lolita and all captive whales and dolphins is also the easiest. It requires no time, no effort, no money. It’s just a simple choice.

The only reason I’m posting this? Because I really wanna know how someone with SO MUCH MONEY can have such rotten, broken, gross teeth? Ugh. That is just disgusting. And wrong. Hello, have you heard of modern dentistry? It makes an otherwise pretty girl look like a total crackhead.
Oh wait.
Never mind.

Bakery Nouveau: Further thoughts on organic →
Really liked this post from Chef William Leaman, owner of the award winning Bakery Nouveau in West Seattle. I agree with his argument that it’s not about “organic” necessarily, (b/c IMO when the US Gov’t oversees anything, that whole concept of “organic” becomes muddled and even moot), but it IS about quality, taste and local sourcing. And of course, no...

West Seattle Garden Tour 2011
It was kind of a wash weather-wise, what with the rainier than usual July we’ve been having. But I still got some good shots and enjoyed being outside with Dexy exploring some really great gardens, despite the gloom.
My favorite was a little backyard garden off of Beach Drive & Edmunds. Very whimsical. The kind of garden I’d want to sit down & stay awhile in. Veggies mixed in with...

Chop Phooey!
I’ve tried & tried to upload a pic of my crab cake of a daughter this morning. Alas, it won’t work. So I give up. It’s time for Alki and the Seafair pirates anyway. I’m outie! #SunshineInSeattle means GET OUTSIDE you crazy people.
